Chapter on Quakers and Climate Change
The Spiritual Dimension of Business Ethics and Sustainability Management examines the spiritual orientations to nature and business in different cultural traditions, including Quakerism. The chapter highlights the concern that the international goal to limit global warming to below 2 °C is becoming increasingly unattainable. In order to achieve this goal, the author, address that the world would would have to reduce its levels of material production and consumption—i.e. in the material standard of living.

Building the Conditions of Peace
Northern Friends Peace Board (NFPB) has produced a short leaflet calling on the UK government to take action to create a sustainable future for its citizens. To build sustainable peace, NFPB calls for the government to build the conditions for peace by addressing the causes of war as well promoting non-military responses to conflict. This includes promoting positive yet effective climate action to achieve the reductions in carbon emissions.
Read the two page leaflet to see the other actions that can be taken in order to build sustainable peace.
