Informal Interfaith Gathering in the Spirit of Talanoa Dialogue
Join faith leaders and climate justice advocates from around the world on Wednesday, 4 November 2026, for an informal online interfaith gathering in the spirit of Talanoa Dialogue.
Talanoa dialogues are Fijian Indigenous peoples’ way of solving problems in their communities. Introduced to climate negotiations by Fiji during COP23, the methodology leads participants to address three questions: Where are we? Where do we want to go? How do we get there?
The Talanoa Dialogue at COP31 aims to build concretely on discussions initiated at COP30 and further develop the Interfaith Liaison Committee’s contribution to the Global Ethical Stocktake. The gathering focuses on translating shared ethical principles and commitments emerging from COP30 into practical action. It provides a nourishing and hopeful event for climate justice advocates before the start of the COP, as well as space to look at solutions from different angles.
